It can be hard to achieve a more direct and physical interaction with simple onscreen material. Provide learner with rich set of tools to enable them to interact with the displayed text (e.g., put bookmarks on points of interest, allow marking of text with colored 'pens' to create annotations, search for annotations, etc.)[1]
