Supporting Integrated Design in Studio Environments

The main goal of this research is to capture, analyze and represent the integrative design processes in complex educational settings that require consolidated multi-disciplinary. We focus on the integrative development of future intelligent responsive environments that enhance collaboration, creativity, and productivity in complex, multi-disciplinary design settings. Different from prior studies investigating team behavior, team performance and task efficacy, this research focuses on the quality of experience regarding: space and technology, built environment performance, and the mobility of people and their tools as a way to inform the development of intelligent responsive environments. The research team works collaboratively with the Responsive Environments group.
